“The Size Principles”

When it comes to packing on lean muscle mass there are various methods that you can use to increase #muscle growth at a rapid pace.

Regardless if your goal is leaning down #losingbodyfat are getting bigger by packing on #musclemass these simple principles will help you accelerate your #fitness goals.

Principle - 1

Your #Workouts need Tempo Variations

When it comes to #strengthtraining muscles will gain strength faster and grow quicker if worked in different various speeds of tempo throughout different workouts instead of applying the same speed over and over.

When training at slower speeds with longer tempos with heavier loads you can increase your maximum strength substantially. When using slow tempo with moderate weight you can increase time under tension causing more muscle growth.

One of the greater advantages of using a slower tempo while training is that you eliminate momentum in the exercise. People often confuse their newfound strength with momentum from lifting heavier weight. This means that the momentum from other parts of the body allowed you to move up in weight not actually the muscle getting stronger. When using a slow tempo it forces the muscle under load to dictate the lift more effectively.

Disadvantages often seen by beginners is they are not counting their tempo or always using the same tempo throughout the work out. A good example would be always one second up or one second down.

Disadvantages that you often see with intermediate lifters is not counting temple correctly. They often will start with a slow cadence and then speed up as they get tired. One of the best ways to eliminate this issue is simply by using a stopwatch.

For the advanced athlete not understanding the rules of temple or understanding programming in general often is their downside. They were often never increase the rate of force development. This is because they tend to stay with heavier weights with a slow tempo increasing maximal strength but never increasing the speed of the lift because the weights are too heavy.

Regardless of what your goal is you should use various tempo speeds while working out to ensure that you were getting the most out of your workouts.
