Make to use a wide variety of exercises for a solid training base.

When training and Muscle it’s important to understand that certain motor units within the muscle have different recruitments. When training certain angles of a muscle some of the motor units may have a low recruitment threshold for one exercise but a higher recruitment threshold for another.

To ensure that you’re getting maximal muscle development it’s important to use various angles when training that certain muscle group.

For example let’s take a look at the posterior chain. Posterior chain includes the low back, glutes and hamstrings.

Using deadlifts to train the hamstrings off the floor is much different then using good mornings. And also much different than using deadlifts from blocks or set positions in a power rack.

Also when performing deadlifts simply changing the foot pattern from close to medium or a wide stance changes the resistance upon the muscle.

Using partial lifts, and full range along with different foot placements will allow you to build the hamstring and posterior chain effectively.
